Housing Discrimination Advocacy

Northside Community Resources Fair Housing Program’s mission is to promote equal housing opportunity and diverse neighborhoods (or inclusive communities) and eliminate illegal housing discrimination on the North Side of Chicago through advocacy, education, outreach, and enforcement. The Fair Housing Program investigates housing discrimination claims and assists clients in filing and resolving discrimination complaints. The FHP particularly seeks to assist people of color and immigrants, who experience housing discrimination disproportionately.

NCR’s Fair Housing Program has a record of directly advocating for housing justice and fostering equitable housing opportunities through comprehensive education, vigorous advocacy, and effective enforcement. Our program empowers people, educating them about their rights and duties and advocating for people hurt by discrimination.
